Ricky is a 75 lb. hard charging yellow male with exceptional marking skills as well as being a true team player when it comes time to run his blinds. Ricky achieved his Field Champion (FC) title as well as qualified for the 2009 National Retriever Championship where they show case the best of the best in the retriever world. In addition, Ricky has his Amateur win as well as points on his way to an AFC title as well. Ricky's first breeding produced Contender's Dora who was #2 on the 2005 Derby List and is now competing in All-Age Stakes.

Autumn is a 60 lb female black lab with a loving personality and always willing to please attitude. She is a fireball in the field who truly knows how to turn it off when in the house or around small kids. She is a superior lining dog who is honest and dependable on each and every cast. She is as comfortable curled up next to you as she is in the field training or hunting and is truly one of those dogs that we all enjoy being around.

Autumn has attained her AKC Senior Hunter title going by 6 for 6 enroute to completion and has just completed 7 straight Finished passes in a row for her Hunting Retriever Champion title in the HRC as well!

Cuivre River Retrievers is proud to announce the repeat breeding between our GMPR HRCH Cuivre River’s Playin’ For Keeps SH to Radar Kennels Rage!

Rage is one of those dogs that make me feel very proud. Not that I own her but I produced her in my kennel. She is old enough that I can now see that this was one of those breedings that really worked! She is a dog that has all the natural abilities one could ask for. She has a very nice natural point as well as she is a great retriever. While on the smaller side (60 pounds) this presents no limits on what she will retrieve. She has made great retrieves on very large geese as well as swans. She is quiet in the house and has a burning fire when needed, a truly special dog.

Rage also carries a genetic package that will add to any kennel. She is a product of Annie (my female) and Smoke. This breeding really clicked and is a combination of some outstanding genetics. These dogs were not only great hunting dogs but had looks that were what a lab should look like. Both dogs had great heads and proper body size and build.

My belief is that Gauge will surely add to this genetic package and will further enhance this breeding. This is truly a great opportunity to own a fine Pointing Lab.

News Flash: The above information was posted last year just after Rage was bred to Gauge. Well, I can honestly say that Gauge did his part in the litter as there were some great pups produced. I have been training a few of the pups from that litter and they have what it takes!!! They have drive to retrieve as well as natural point. It is for that reason that we are doing a repeat breeding!!! You can be assured that you will get a truly outstanding pup.

Chocolate Litter Due 8/31/10

Now taking deposits on an outstanding all chocolate breeding between Ten Bear’s Road Trip QAA x HRCH YRP Brownwaterdog's Ugottabelieve.

Tick is an 85 lb. amateur trained hard charging chocolate male who accumulated 29 Derby points in 11 trials, the 2nd all time highest chocolate Derby dog in history and the best point per start average on the National Derby list in 2006. He earned an amateur Judges Award of Merit in a 70 dog trial and went on to earn his Qualified All Age designation at two years of age. Tick is currently in training with Mike Judas of Ten Bear Kennels in preparation for running All Age stakes in 2010.

Baili is a 60lb. dark chocolate female with excellent marking, precision handling and extreme desire - hunting, testing or training! She was tremendously easy to train and handles like a dream, giving 100% at all times. She is a Hunting Retriever Champion who is the offspring of two Grand Hunting Retriever Champions. Her 3 generation pedigree is loaded with the top names in chocolate retriever world!
